2009 Reunion Details:

The 2009 Site One Holy Loch Association Reunion will be held in Dunoon Scotland. It is scheduled to be 6-9 May 2009. The associtation officers in association with our "on the ground" members have worked out a venu. The McColls Hotel in the west bay is where some of our functions will take place there, i.e. Registrations, tour sign-ups, and business meeting. The Site One Ball will be held at the Park Hotel.
Below is the current version of our reunion schedule:
Wednesday, 6 May 2009 –
Arrival, register at the McColls Hotel, sign up for tours, meet and renew old friendships
Thursday, 7 May-
Continue registrations, hold business meeting in AM (discuss location for next reunion, officer nomination). Sign up for tours, hold tours, Ceilidh that evening at the McColls Hotel (no cost).
Friday, 8 May-
Hold Memorial service in the Castle Gardens at Navy Cairn in the AM, continue tours. Ball that evening at the Park Hotel (guest speaker, live music, dinner, raffle, portraits, souviners)
Note: We have been asked about what the dress code is for the ball. All we ask is that a shirt and tie and slacks for the men are fine and similar for the women. You can be as formal as you wish, we understand that folks are coming from afar and do not want to carry a bunch of extra weight. Bottom line, we want attendees to look neat and clean, no flip-flops, tank tops, t-shirt, etc.
Saturday, 9 May-
Breakfast at McColls, Good-byes and farewells, reunion closes.

We are planning on having tours available during the reunion. Below are ones we have tentatively arranged.

Attendees are encouraged to consider making reservation at the McColls Hotel in the West Bay as some of our functions will take place there, i.e. Registrations, tour sign-ups, and meeting. There will also be a Ceilidh on Thursday evening during the reunion.
McColls is also offering favorable rates to members attending the Reunion in '09.

Read Posting This is a great opportunity to reunite with old friends both from the US and Scotland. We (husband and daughter and myself) are attending with my Dad, who was on the Hunley back in '63 to '65 in Holy Loch. My memories of living there as a little girl during those years are some of my fondest. Please let us know who else is attending so I can give my Dad a list to help him know who to look for while at the reunion.
